About Me
My name is Emma Boddington and I am the proud owner of Eboddington Bijoux. I set up my jewellery and accessories business in 2021, so it’s still a relatively new enterprise and I’m still learning. If you live and work in France then you’ll know that there is a mountain of paperwork and bureaucracy to climb as an individual entrepreneur, but after a few years in business I’m finally finding it easier to keep on top of it all.
Advertising, managing a website, buying and selling stock can be time-consuming. Fortunately, I have wonderful parents, willing to give up their free time to help out at the many events and markets I attend. I’m also very lucky that my sister, Natalie, is happy to be photographed modelling jewellery and accessories whenever I need to showcase specific ‘on trend’ and stylish pieces for an online event or special occasion.





Why EBoddington Bijoux?
I have always loved costume jewellery and when I was thinking about the type of work I could do I wanted it to be something I would enjoy and persevere with.
My two passions in life are fashion jewellery and accessories, and my dogs, so work had to involve one or both of those elements. For the last couple of years I have helped raise funds for a local animal refuge. Much as I enjoy doing this, sadly it will never pay the bills. So I began researching costume jewellery online and realised I can do this! But not only did I want to buy and sell jewellery – I wanted to make it something that everybody could afford.
My other passion – my dogs
Every member of my family is a dog lover. As well as having two rescue dogs – Jack and Sundy – we also help dog and cat charities whenever we can by giving them a few items for fund-raising.
Darling Jack is an English Setter. We rescued him from our local vets when someone brought him in to be put down! Sundy is a mix of Labrador and Griffon and possibly something else in the mix. She has a ginger beard, bless her, and she was adopted from an animal organisation. They are the very best of friends and we love them both dearly.



What makes EBoddington Bijoux different from other online Jewellery stores?
I stock a wonderfully wide range of jewellery and accessories with something to suit all ages, genders, purses and occasions! I am also proud to offer full online customer support at every stage of the process and always happy to answer questions.
Additionally, as part of the customer service I try to send items in a pretty gift box or bag. So not only are the goods securely packaged, but they are also beautifully presented when they are unwrapped.
In order to review and improve my services I always ask customers to provide honest feedback. It’s as a result of recent feedback that I am planning to introduce e-Gift Vouchers. These can be used as full or part payment for any of the items in my online store and also for local customers who want to browse and buy in person.
Also, to reduce our carbon footprint, I’m going to introduce an option where I post gifts and gift vouchers directly to the lucky recipient instead of to the buyer who then has to send them on.
Currently, because of the additional postage and duties incurred for sending items outside of France I have limited my shipping options to mainland France. However, as I have had several enquiries outside of this area, perhaps this is something else I need to consider. Watch this space!
